[ Posting Guidelines/Instructions ]

Welcome to "The Schnauzer Rescue Board".   The purpose of this board is to help facilitate schnauzer rescue by helping match schnauzers needing homes with those seeking to adopt a schnauzer. Postings pertaining to schnauzers needing homes or individuals seeking to adopt a rescue schnauzer for all three schnauzer types (minis, giants and standards) as well as schnauzer mixes are welcomed.

If you are looking for a "breeding" dog please do not bother looking here, the point of rescue is to reduce pet population not contribute to the problem and rescuers will have had the dogs spayed/neutered prior to placement.

A few words from the board's administrator and webmaster:
  • Please take a moment to read the posting guidelines/instructions
  • This is a public bulletin board but it is monitored and inappropriate posts will be removed.
  • Please refrain from debating, flaming or using the board as a "chat" board or personal soap box... these type of posts take away from the purpose of this board. Note we do have a separate board for these type of postings at Schnauzer Chat Area... please use it!
  • Anonymous posts are NOT appreciated. If you can't sign it, then it doesn't belong here.
  • NO postings of puppies or dogs "for sale" allowed.
  • Please include a location in the subject line.
  • Please spay/neuter your dog PRIOR to placing them. It is the only responsible thing to do!
  • While dog/puppy sales post are not allowed, we do not suggest giving away "free dogs"... instead ask a nominal adoption fee and donate it to your local humane society or a rescue group. Please read "Free Pets" to understand why giving away a free pet is not advisable.
  • Screening help can be found at screen prospective recipents
  • Please check the board for dogs in your area before posting you want to adopt (there is a search facility to assist you). Also try contacting a schnauzer rescuer in your area and check your local shelters. Local adoptions tend to work out best.
  • Please do not post a request to "adopt a puppy", such requests will be deleted. This is a rescue board not a place to make breeder contacts.
  • Please use the contact information provided in the post to communicate offline. Postings on the board are not permanent and are removed to make room for new postings.
  • Cross postings are welcome, but please include the source of the post (URL) and make sure the information is current (many websites are not updated very frequent... verify the information is current before posting here). Please also follow up on it and notify me when the dog is no longer available.
  • Please notify me to remove your post when it is no longer needed.
  • If you signed up for the "subscribe" feature to receive updates from the board and no longer wish to receive them, do NOT email me. YOU MUST UNSUBSCRIBE YOURSELF... use this URL http://disc.yourwebapps.com/disc-list-unsubscribe.cgi?id=10309

Please note the schnauzer rescue board nor its webmaster are affliated with any individuals or groups that request donations via this board. There is no responsibility assumed for the validity of such requests.... and as with any type of solitication, it is always advisable for donors to do their own verification prior to sending a contribution.

NOTE:   Use the "Next Page"   button at the bottom of the post listings to see more postings   To return to previous pages use your browser "Back" button.
