WOW, this forum could end up like one that was called New Astrology. That one was very actively supported. Much very interesting information was shared there. It was lovely. There was a slight bit of bullying at a later stage, and then the group was disbanded.

One Minute PoemV. McFarlane , Mon May 18, 2015 08:28
There is a poem on the WOW site Titled "One Miinute". It begins "I have only just one minute,". It is attributed to Anonymous, when it was actually written by Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, past President of Morehouse College in Atlanta. It would be greatly appreciated if someone would correct this. Thank you.

If forgiveness is one of the things that the bible to do, then how does this apply to; Matthew 5:32 But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. ;1) Where is the forgiveness for the... more

  • About the poem Phoenix.Navan, Tue Mar 4, 2014 01:37
The poem is a wonderful one and carries Truth too, but there's a slight lack of information that makes it incomplete. Its the part which says that the "Spirit never dies and that I'll return in another body". And, its not correct because matter cannot be destroyed either, neither can be the electromagnetic energy... more

Hello, been reading the WOW site for several hours at work on the night shift. The song from the Monty Python movie '' always look on the bright side of life '' came on the radio, and it made me listen to the song in a different way! kind of how uncannily the lyrics cheer you up and help you to think of the bright... more

    Sharon Miller's text?Nina, Mon Sep 24, 2012 15:23
I'm looking for Sharon Miller's text. It's name could be "A Confession For Humanism" but I'm not sure. It's about how human beings wear thousands of 'masks', are afraid to show their innermost, although would want to but need a helping hand... Something like that.

Last year, in the middle of September, my brother Calel was diagnosed with cancer. We've never really been well off, and my brother refused to allow himself to be treated. He said that if he was meant to survive then he would survive on his own. I can remember how he looked, all pale and sickly, bruising at the... more

I grew up in the 70's and early 80's. We knew this off by heart. I remember it a bit different as you said it had be changed. all I recall was "anonymous"...as the author. Such a great poem.

  • Miss HeroinCindy, Tue Feb 21, 2012 08:17
I memorized this poem in 1976. It meant a lot to me then because I had friends whom these words described. The words were a little different then, and I can tell it has been rephrased here and there. My teenage son is in high school now, the same age I was the first time I read Miss Heroin. Sadly, heroin is making a... more

Civil rights are garneted to every citizen in the United States of America. Although this is true prior to the 1960s civil rights were not protected, nor fought for on a national scale. The struggle for African Americans to achieve equal rights during this period changed history. This struggle is characterized by... more
