The Original Subbuteo Collectors' Forum

Well, as of December 14 2006, we're back. Welcome to the Original Subbuteo Collectors' Forum, first established in the dark ages (OK, 1999).

As you can see, the Forum isn't going to win any prizes for design or technical facilities but it is a place to post quick questions or comments about all aspects of Subbuteo. Please just scroll down.

If you are looking for an introduction to Subbuteo, and much, much more, you won't do better than Peter Upton's great site (see link below). The biggest sales site is Subbuteo World and of course there is always heaps of Subbuteo on eBay.

About me - back in the early 1970s, a Subbuteo World Cup Edition was the highlight of Santa's visit one Christmas. I still think these sets are lovely now - how much bigger they seem when you are eight. A few years later, the local toy shop owner's son sold his collection through a postcard in the local post office - 34 teams, lots of accessories, great condition - all for £10.

My mother gave it all away when I left home and, like lots of people, I quite fancied getting some 1970s Subbuteo at some time. Along comes the Internet, the old Subbuteo Collectors' Club and eBay and I now have the obligatory cupboard full of Subbuteo of all types. I possibly went a bit too mad......

Anyway, there we are. Please post away. As with all these forums, your posts are your responsibilty and please be nice or I might have to edit/delete your post. Of course, we have nothing to do with Hasbro, current owners of all rights to Subbuteo. There was a long hiccup with the site for a couple of years so anything dated before December 14 is now very old.
