Welcome to the Aerogarden Message Board
Aerogarden allows you to grow herbs and vegetables in your own home without soil or complicated fertilizers.
I just received an Aerogarden as a wedding present. The only place in my apartment where it will fit is underneath a skylight. Will this adversely affect the growth of the plants I put in it? Thanks!
I recently bought the French herb kit and some of the pods did not have seeds and some did not sprout. I contacted Aerogarden for assistance and they're sending a new French Herb kit at no charge.
I'm new to Aerogarden and just planted the French herb kit. How long before I see any herbs?
Started some new cherry tomatoes yesterday. The last batch had more flavor than anything you can buy at a store.
The pump on my Aerogarden died. I sent an email to the Aerogarden folks and within 24 hours I had a response. They are sending me a new pump at no cost.
In a few days, I'll be cleaning the Aerogarden and starting cherry tomatoes for summer salads and salsas.
I have to say that I'd encourage anyone who wants fresh, pesticide free veggies grown in their own home to buy an Aerogarden. It's fun for both kids and adults.
I've seen the commercials on tv and is it as easy as they show? Can anyone do it? Is it expensive?
After a month, we're using the fresh herbs in our meals. The taste is amazing compared to dried herbs. We've used fresh dill from the Aerogarden in egg salad. Last night, I made tortelloni with olive oil infused with Italian and Purple Basil from the Aerogarden.
It's been one month and the first herbs were taken from the garden and used as a garnish on home made tomato soup.
The basil is big and healthy and it's time to pinch the heads off and allow it to fill out.
Setting up an Aerogarden is super easy. 1. Fill the basin with water. There's a fill line to let you know when you've added enough water. 2. Drop the 2 starter tabs in the water. 3. Place a seed pod in each slot and put a little plastic dome over each one. 4. Plug in the unit and then press the button to select herbs, ...
more Everything has sprouted. The chives, dill and cilantro are about 2" tall. Both types of basil are nice and bushy. The mint is sprouted but is still just below the top of the dome. The parsley has just germinated and we should see sprouts in the next day or two.
After one week, all but the parsley has sprouted. According to the pod, parsley takes 8 - 14 days to sprout. Everything else is doing terrific. Chives and basil are going strong and the rest is catching up. By next week, I should be able to take all the little plastic domes off the pods.
Mine is the herb variety so far but I can't wait to try tomatoes.
My first garden is the Gourmet Herb Garden. The 7 Aerogarden pods include basil, cilantro, parsley, purple basil, chives, mint and dill. After just 4 days, all of the pods have sprouted except the mint.
Welcome to the Aerogarden forum. I hope people will enjoy sharing their tips and experiences with the Aerogarden.
