Looking for info on Elijah J Corley b. abt 1790 d. 1853 Meriwether Co. near Halarson. From SC, he lived in Muscogee Co. and was involved in the Creek Land fraud and may have lived among the Creeks near Fish Pond Al. I inherited his winning land lot deed. I believe his brother is my GGG grandfather.

My great great grandfather was killed in this tornado in Chipley (Pine Mountain) Ga. His name was Lee Alford. Also another man by the name of Lucius Powell was killed. I'm looking for any information concerning their houses or farms. They could possibly have been neighbors.

McIntosh Road - Eddie Lanham, Mon Jul 25 19:51
My mapping of the "McIntosh Road" from Jasper County, Georgia to the "Big Warrior" (Coosa) River in Alabama is complete. Most all is overlaid on current highway/road maps. In many areas the original road is visible. Your input is welcome. http://www.ejlanham.com/McIntoshRoad.html Eddie
