There are a few folks on the boards whom I am friends with on and off... and many whom I consider myself to be pals with... but mostly, I see others as folks I cross paths with the same as folks I might have worked or studied with... They are ALL 'real people' and I strive to remember that no one here is actually just a blip of light on a screen... Behind the screen is a real person who may or may not be anything like what they present themselves to be...

Sometimes it makes me crazy how mean folks can be to others in cyberland... and I wonder if the person is actually a mean person in real life, or just takes out their frustrations here on 'blips of light on the screen' because they don't recognize the humanity BEHIND the screen...

I think that's what bugs me MOST about 'players' who pretend to be a certain way... They are FAKING it and playing on other's feelings... and that's bad enough, but they... okay, HE, is portraying folks with a real problem as MORONS and ANNOYING IDJITS when that's simply not true... and it pisses me off BIG TIME because it smears innocent people and colors them badly, who totally don't deserve it as a result...
