as they are two different things. Both libel and pogrom are nouns. They are not synonymous. A "blood libel" is a lie told to suggest someone or a group is responsible for bloodletting and death. This is what some Dems and some leftist rabble in the media were accurately described as attempting to do to Sarah Palin and others. A pogrom is clearly different, even if not to people like you.
