You are the one making things up. I NEVER said "Al Qaeda, et al, are JUSTIFIED in attacking the U.S. and Americans" - NO killing is "justified" except in self-defense. in my view.

And I never said Americans can "never" justify themselves with deadly force." However, neither you nor I KNOW for sure that all those "second in command" AQ leaders REALLY DID do anything to harm us. When was the last attack? And, why are we still KILLING people even though we have not been attacked for a long while?

And - you have NO idea what I would say if due process were afforded them. What I WOULD say is that if they had due process and were found guilty of KILLING or plotting to kill Americans then they should be in prison for the remainder of their lives. I don't believe in the death penalty - period. But, if we were face to face with the bad guys who were trying to kill us, of course, self-defense would apply to protect Americans.

My REAL objection is that drones are not used against MILITARY operations. They are used to bomb houses where ALLEGED bad guys are and innocents are nearby - when there is no NEED for it to be conducted like this so often. Obomba has doubled the drone attacks done by Bush - it was wrong then, it is wrong now. in my view.
