Why do you continue to trash my board?

By your own admission in your post on the blue board, which is reproduced below, you helped make my board what you claim it to be.

Although you are welcome here, if you don't like my board, there is no need for you to come here or to continue trashing it. Nobody here is continuing to feud with you here on this board. It is time for you to cease being influenced by well-poisoners like greenman, Sia, Truthteller and AJ.

With that wonderful mind of yours, you should begin to grow up and find new friends ... all of those people who joined in with your recent trashing of my board are far beneath your dignity, intelligence and accomplishment. Find some people that you can look up to, that inspire you, and you will be far better off. Please give that some serious thought.

As for my board, there are nearly half a million posts, almost as many in our short history as on the blue board which was founded by Ken over a decade ago, and the people on my board seem quite content to post here.

Sadly, the board has become almost 100% (partisan) politics, with the utterly predictable decline in civility and substance. ANY forum which becomes mostly about political partisanship first degenerates into two opposed camps, then after one side tends to dominate - usually because the forum's moderator(s) identify with one side and moderate the board accordingly - contrary opinions and posters find themselves unwelcome. This occurs even when the "outcasts" are making a rare foray into non-political territory.

In this particular case, however, a handful of "bad actors" are the main reason for what things have become over there. A couple of them relentlessly stalk targets from the "wrong" side, appending completely irrelevant harangues, slanderous accusations to their posts (including being in the pay of the DNC...delusional, fallacious idiocy, but it goes unchecked). They've poisoned the atmosphere and driven out all but a tiny handful of people who aren't far-right-wing evangelical types...and of those few, at least two are there mostly to troll. I had to bail, or I was going to arrange for Very Bad Things to happen to one of the worst offenders (Sara don't accept being slandered real gracefully...and I hardly need to tell you what a bitch I am).

It's a damn shame. There were times when the board was a lot closer to fulfilling its mission statement (ironically, back when I was busy trying to fuck it up... =P ).
