As I hardly need tell you, my opinion of you isn't greatly different from greenman's (fwiw, I don't think any better of him, but that's neither here nor there...). But expressing that viewpoint in terms like "evil hag" does nothing to foster civility (or worthwhile discussion). I've been guilty of that sort of things countless times, and it's a barrier to actual discussion.

Whether posts like that should stand depends entirely on what sort of forum the mods prefer. Regardless of what that decision is, it must be enforced in as objective a manner as possible...no "protected class" of posters.
