If any individual posters threaten to turn this place into a cesspool with their unchecked, unreasonable incivility, especially when unprovoked or relentless, then we'll have to address that as a separate issue... As it stands right now, we err on the side of 'free speech' and don't get too deep into personal, tit for tat type quarrels that only last a post or two... Frankly, we'd never do anything else if we did... Mostly, a word to the wise or a hint of a scolding serves to clue someone that they need to 'tone it down several notches'... usually works with minimal fuss'n'muss...

However, that doesn't make any of it acceptable... nor does it mean it will be tolerated if escalated... and it will never be tolerated as a 'one-sided affair' where someone is turned into the 'victim of a cyber-bully' --- let that serve as an answer of sorts to Shadow about HOW to handle herself going forward if she objects to the sort of things Greenman says to her...
