I've learned to read the O/T with new understanding.

The temple and the things in it represents Christ and the kingdom of God. from the burnt offering , to the mercy seat. the Vail and Shekinah Glory , the list goes on and on and on.

I have even learned how the book of Ruth "which does not even mention God" represents Christ and how he would purchase his church with his own blood. and how it would require 'and O/T prophesy tells us of a' kinsman redeemer to redeem Israel from their fallen sate 'sin'

I have also learned how when one is saved 'a gentile' he is adopted into the blood line of Abraham Isaac Jacob king David . the book of Mathew and Luke tells us the blood line of Jesus.

also some one a few years back realized that there is a lot of typology in the O/T. which points to Jesus. and has given a deeper understanding of the bible.

Jesus knew when the world was made, and man was created that man would fall, and that he would haft to come to earth to redeem man from his fallen state.
