Subject First, let's go back to our lil' "dispute" ...

You claimed that Hawaii destroyed all the original birth certificates that existed prior to the point at which they went "paperless".

This conflicts with what Dr. Fukino allegedly uttered just yesterday:

"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."

Try to concentrate on what words mean ... "original" "vital" "record" ... as you contemplate the state of the art in document preparation, storage, retrieval, copying and certification as it existed in 1961. It was a predominately paper-based environment in federal and state government offices for just about everything except financial records, which lent themselves more readily to computerization. A 7.2 MB IBM 2311 Disk Drive the size of a washing machine at $25,000 a pop was "state of the art" in 1967, along with the 64K IBM 360 Model 30 at almost $1 million ... 7.2 freakin' megabytes ... wouldn't even hold 5 pictures from my Sony DSC-W120 camera. Technology has changed drastically since then ... I just bought a WD 1 tera-byte hard drive for $89. All 3 of my sons were born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1965, 1968 and 1971, a far-more technologically-advanced state than Hawaii at the time, and "state of the art" was still hand-written, long-form birth certificates which were completed and signed by the attending physician, including place of birth (hospital), name and address of parents, and sent to the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Columbus, Ohio, where they remain today, and certified copied of the original documents are still available. Same for my birth certificate in Nashville, Tennessee, and JuJu's Birth Certificate in Jackson, Mississippi.

Now, concentrate on the word:

"original" ... that which existed at the origin ... in 1961 ... not digitized copy or transcribed copy ... original.

Merriam-Webster: that from which a copy, reproduction, or translation is made; a work composed firsthand; not secondary, derivative, or imitative ; being the first instance or source from which a copy, reproduction, or translation is or can be made

Would you pay the price for an "original" Rembrandt if you knew it was a copy?

"Original", Dude. Repeat after me ... "Original".

Now, go back and read the words that Fukino allegedly uttered:

"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."

She did not say "I have seen a copy of the original" ... she said "I have seen the original ..."

Thus, the original still exists ... and all we're asking is to see a certified copy of the original. It's *that* simple. The issue will not subside until that happens.

Again ... it's Obama's credibility ... not mine.

Now, I will answer your questions:

1) Why is the birth certificate posted, the official Hawaii birth certificate, invalid or incorrect? How does it fail to establish his citizenship conclusively?

We don't know if it is valid or correct or not, and that is the problem, Max. It could have been photoshopped. Hawai'i maintains on its web site that only a person related to the individual or who has power of attorney for the individual can obtain a copy of a birth certificate, and there is no indication that image which has been floated around the Internet was authorized by Obama or his family or his legally-appointed representative ... Obama has never confirmed or denied the authenticity of the document, which is also a problem ... a major problem.

2) What information do you think might have been on his original, 48 year old hospital-generated birth certificate that has bearing on the citizenship of Obama that is not contained on the contemporary birth certificate? Explain why that information is important.

Here are copies of original Hawai'ian birth certificates from 1961 and 1962:

As you can see, they each have the name and address of the parents, the signature of one of the parents, the name of the hospital, the name and signature of the attending physician, and the signature of the local registrar.

A far cry from this:

If we could see Obama's original, then if the address of the parents corresponded with the newspaper birth announcement address of 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy, Honolulu, and the hospital listed on the birth certificate is in fact Kapi'olani Women and Children's Hospital, then We The People would be more inclined to accept Obama as duly qualified to be President.

Keep in mind that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle placed Obama's birth certificate under seal and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances. That's mighty suspicious.
