Subject Let's destroy the leftwing myth about Bush days off the job

The leftwing media and its lockstep sycophants have always criticized Bush for spending 879 days at home at his ranch in Crawford, Texas during the 8 years of his Presidency.

Let's do the math:

In 8 years, there are 2,922 days:

(8 x 365) + 2 leap days = 2,922

2 out of every 7 days are weekend days, so he should get them off ... everyone else does:

That's 417 weeks, so that gives him 834 weekend days that everyone else gets in 8 years.

In addition, most top executives get 3 or 4 weeks of vacation every year, and in 8 years, that's 120 to 160 days, not double-counting the weekend days that we have already accounted for.

Oh, and let's not forget National Holidays:

New Year’s Day
Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Washington’s Birthday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

Ohhhhh! That's 80 more days in 8 years.

Summing it up, in 8 years, the "norm" for working Americans ranges from 1,034 to 1,074 days off the job.

Let's see ... now, he spent 879 days at home in 8 years ... seems like we owe him a few more days.

The moral to this story: Think for yourself instead of listening to political propaganda bullshit, most of which is false, and the reaminder of which is out of context.

Another interesting fact: Presidential pay for an 8 hour day is a pathetic $216.45 per hour:

2,922 days in 8 years less 1,074 weekend/vacation/holiday days off = 1,848 days worked x 8 = 14,784 hours worked divided into $3,200,000 pay in 8 years = $216.45 per hour, about the same pay as a mediocre lawyer.
