In the middle of March, 2010, we received a telephone call from the lady from whom we had bought our first Himalayan Persian, 'Switan Dolce D. du Malmaison', back in July 2003.

... whom we named after this adorable 10-year-old orphan in Kabul, Afghanistan:


It turned out that the lady from whom we bought Switan had sold Tatiana to a lady in Murray, Kentucky, and that lady was moving to Illinois to a situation wherein she would no longer be able to take care of the cat. We were offered Tatiana "free" if we would drive to Benton, Kentucky and pick her up. Furthermore, it was revealed that Tatiana is the biological sister of Switan ... same CFA-Registered mommy and daddy.

Without hesitation, we picked Tatiana up the next day. She is an absolute delight ... funny ... never a dull moment. She has been with us 5 weeks now, and Switan is still a bit miffed that we adopted Tatiana, but she is "coming around".

While, of the two cats, Switan is the fairer, being a platimum blonde with a million shades of lilac and taupe:

Tatiana is the more personable and companionable:


She follows me around, and says she wants to go elk hunting with me in Colorado in November ☺

Meanwhile, Switan wants to go shopping at Saks and Tiffanys, and luxuriate at the Spa at The Grove Park Inn.

The foregoing notwithstanding, Princess JuJu is the fairest of them all:
