Yes, you have the RIGHT to paint your house purple and green... but that make you any less of an asshole for doing it.

I could demand my "right" to put in a shooting range right next to a bird-watching club... And the law might even be on my side... but as a RESPECTFUL NEIGHBOR, I would probably try to find a place for my business where my neighbors would be happier with my presence.

Yes, I can be an asshole and being an asshole IS my right... but I generally CHOOSE not to be.

You see... even though being an asshole is my RIGHT.... it reflects negatively on ME when I CHOOSE to be an asshole. And it reflects positively on me when I CHOOSE to NOT be an asshole.
