Lurker
Hi all.
Thu Jun 25, 2009 4:25am
137.186.47.87

I just wanted to stop by and provide an update on my health issues to those who care.

I am still alive (obviously) but my chemo has not been going as well as we hoped.

At this point in time, it appears that I have months, rather than years, left.

I want to formally apologize to everyone I have ever hurt, insulted, bitched at, beat on or otherwise antagonized with my posts. A person's imminent death seems to make one want to end things on a positive note with everyone else, if possible. I was a child and a fool but maybe I have learned to be a little nicer lately.

I will try to post updates if I can.

:)

~*~*~*~

I miss this wonderful lady Mav.

 Hi Lurker — Bob the builder, Mon Jun 29 2:38am
Great to hear from you, you just keep fighting that bastard disease! If I could pray I would, as it is I am thinking of you.

 Hi — stanibol, Sat Jun 27 7:34pm
If you're ever worried about being over-medicated, don't forget some charcoal tablets. Small dosage taken intermittently is recommended.

http://www.tiscali.co.uk/lifestyle/healthfitness/health_advice/netdoctor/archive/100004507.html

As you probably recall, I don't have a lot of faith in most cancer treatments. I made note of some of the more successful chemo treatments I heard about, and that includes arsenic in one success story.

Since the medics are regularly trialling different chemicals in the chemo treatment, and not knowing what sorts of dosages that you are receiving, I would not be able to comment re prognosis. Even if I knew, I doubt that you'd want me to be any more specific than what the doctors have told you.

Let's hope they got it wrong, and you make a miraculous 100 percent recovery. Get well soon.

plur,

 It is so good to hear from you — Mondo Fuego™, Thu Jun 25 11:44pm

I love you, Dear Lady Mav. You are very special to me. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily. I always wanted to sit at The Pub in Edmonton with you, JuJu, Just_Me "Boop" and hubster Ron the "Brit" and do "12 ounce curls", and talk about the important things in life ... those people in our lives ... the way you always talked lovingly about "Mamman" and Sister Wendy ... and the passion you have for helping unfortunate children ... and Boop and Ron's new home in Panama ... and her son and beautiful daughter-in-law.

I still want to do that.

I hope you got the story I sent you. You are Chapter 2, big time!

My thoughts are with you, Lurker. Not often I'm stuck for words, but it's hard to know what to say. You're a fighter, so I expect you to give this your best shot. Best of luck, Lurker.

 Love yourself — witness, Thu Jun 25 9:05pm
I don't come by much any more and I'm very saddened to read this news. Please be kind to you.

 I cannot find a sour post. — Gateway, Thu Jun 25 8:49pm
When you get right down to it, most folks are basically good and caring people. There are some I do not agree with and have had angry words with. But, I would never wish ill health or a harmful event in their lives. I know I cannot imagine the anxiety and pain you feel daily and as your online family, I hope I can speak for all here by joining with your life family to wish the best for you.

 Keep us posted, and lets hope for better news soon. — Zeus, Thu Jun 25 7:57pm

We here have a family friend going through something similar but we are all acting no that is the wrong word we are all staying optimistic even the girl in the hot seat. Stay or try to stay positive, we are all with you as you have see.

Zeus.

 I often disliked you and wondered at your antagonism. — Angel, Thu Jun 25 7:51pm
Although I have not read or posted these boards for a few years, an acquaintance sent me this link. I weep for you, Lurker. Your good heart was revealed in your posts which were not as obvious as the more flamboyant flames yet did not pass unnoticed even by such an occasional lurker and infrequent poster as I was.

Know that I will think of you and hope for you.

 Best of luck. — Christopher Blackwell, Thu Jun 25 6:34pm
Lurker, Cancer is a scary illness as is finding out you may only have months to live. However the question still remains the same. What are you going to do with the rest of your life? Do what you can and live as fully as you can, finish what you can.

Best of luck. Just maybe you might fool the doctors and have more time than they think.

 You have apologized once and that is — ConnieSue, Thu Jun 25 5:44pm
really the end of the matter, I would hope. It's what you really are feeling about yourself that matters. I don't mean to be rude, but you know those that liked you here already love and understand you. Those who you fought with, well it's really a matter of how seriously they took the drama. I presonally didn't lose sleep over it. If you indeed have months to live, than you are now given a gift, of knowing that you can chose the quality versus the quanity. Don't waste your time with your friends here fussing about the ones who you didn't like. When you are here, just be yourself. God already knows your heart, and if you have any regrets or worries, it's Jesus that should hear those apologies. But then, I think you already know this from the teachings from your own family. May God be with you in your coming and going.

 Hi Ms Lurker.. — et, Thu Jun 25 1:38pm
No need for apologies but since you are, I would like to apologize as well if I've ever hurt you.. We all have no choice but to love each other, love is at the core of our being. The more we cover it, or distance ourself from it, the harder life becomes and makes us behave in ways we ordinary would not. We're really not at fault, its the world and its conditions that causes it. There is a reason even anger. I've seen the lord angry, at me, even then he gentle to me as a lamb.

 God Bless Lurker — ♫Just Me ♥, Thu Jun 25 12:47pm
May you find peace in his Kingdom. You will be missed. See you in Heaven ( I hope)

 You Are Loved, Lurker... — Uru Hammer, Thu Jun 25 12:25pm

 Hi, Lurker — shadow, Thu Jun 25 11:24am
I, too, am pulling for you and hoping you beat this dread disease. If it can be done with spirit, you'll be the one who can beat it.

My very best wishes to you, pretty young one, and prayers for your healing!

 Hello shadow... — ConnieSue, Thu Jun 25 6:13pm
We need to help lurker understand that God isn't punishing her for the things she said or did to some people. Cancer is a very equal opportunity disease. We should encourage her to just let the past be the past and this isn't her fault that she is ill. I hope you are well.

 Hi Connie Sue — shadow, Thu Jun 25 10:00pm
I think she knows that. I think she wants to make sure that all of us know that, too. It is sweet that we all get the chance to make our peace with her. I'm thankful for that. I'm am well and just enjoying being a grandma.

I suppose you are as busy as ever! Good on you! I miss seeing you, and our fun times.

 Hi, Lurker — SES, Thu Jun 25 11:14am
Words escape me. And that rarely happens. I have nothing witty or profound to say. Just that you're in my thoughts.

 Ditto. (nm) — kw, Thu Jun 25 5:05pm

 No need to apologize to me... — BOSS, Thu Jun 25 11:02am
I never take it to heart, you were entertaining to say the least. Hope you beat it!!!! Keep thinking positive and pop on here from time to time to talk with us and keep us updated..

http://www.kombu.de/val-gwf.htm In particular
Former President Ronald Reagan is said
to have Kombucha a key part of his cancer fighting nutrient program
In that same chapter we learn from Frank's Soviet source that President Ronald Reagan was informed of the benefits of Kombucha and that he made it a part of his personal regimen after cancer had been diagnosed in his body. This intriguing bit of inforrnation is not surprising when we realize that stories persist that the former President was also advised to take beta-carotene in the form of emulsified vitamin A and the Wobenzymes, both from Germany. The fact is: Ronald Reagan is going strong today, and he was diagnosed with cancer many years ago. Perhaps he does drink Kombucha regularly.
Photo left: Gόnther W. Frank (right), author of the popular book "Kombucha - Healthy beverage and Natural Remedy from the Far East" has a good-natured chat with the wax image of Ronald Reagan in a London museum. The author said the former president would not comment on whether he drank the Kombucha beverage as reported. Frank did receive a letter from the Reagans, but they neither confirmed nor denied using the traditional fermented beverage personally.

Regardless of the Reagan intrigue, the Soviet experience is part of the large body of documentary evidence that the beverage made from the Kombucha fermentation of tea and sugar is, indeed, a dramatic immune system booster and body detoxifier. In our nation and in our present time, our bodies surely need plenty of both - immune boosting and detoxification. This is essentially why we are so excited about the prospects of Kombucha here in America and why Search for Health will strive to spread the word, and the cultures, as widely as possible.

Also, I have not completed the book, but Cancer Ward by Alesandr Solzhenitsyn references this tea. I have not completed that book, but have it in my library and I am sure you could get someone to get it from the library for you--I imagine you have a lot of time to read now.

I am so sorry that the chemo is not working as hoped; also very glad you are using the time to reprioritize (or so it appears from your post).

Please do keep us posted on your progress. You must know you have impacted so many of us during the times you have posted on these boards and we are pulling for you.

 Hi Luker, there were a lot of messages to you here: — Ken C, Thu Jun 25 9:27am

Some people mentioned that you are a fighter, and we hope you win your fight with the cancer.

 Hi Lurker — wondering, Thu Jun 25 9:09am
So good to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts. Hey, we all have our faults and hard times, but I know you are a good person. And you are a fighter. That can be a good thing, especially when facing something like cancer. It seems like every time I turn around these days, I hear about someone else who has cancer. It's a dreadful disease and unfortunately does not seem to discriminate as to whom or when it strikes. I sincerely hope you will beat the odds and stick around with us awhile longer. If you feel like shouting or screaming, that is okay, too. It doesn't seem fair, but we all have to take the good with the bad sometimes. The world is a better place with you in it. Peace and love...

 been thinking of you a lot — sym, Thu Jun 25 8:55am
keep your sense of humor and don't let the fight go out of you -- that's what can beat this thing! HUGS

 it's wonderful to hear from you..;-) — yome, Thu Jun 25 8:37am
I haven't been perfect my self, but in times like you're going through I know Christ is as real as the sun shine and the fresh mountain air. Give him 'Jesus' a try, he loves ya with all his being, and thats all it is to it. He never told us to get our life straighten out before we come to him,!!!

he said he will take us just as we are. He plainly said that he came to save sinners, and thats all of us me included.

With all my love and prayers i pray God's Peace and may God's love shine on you and in you in these hard times.

 It is good to hear from you. I hope that things will turn — David F Mayer, Thu Jun 25 7:51am
around and you will recover your health. In any event, you have my best wishes. David

 Hi sweetie! — Morgan, Thu Jun 25 7:38am
And thanks SO much for the update...I'd love to talk to ya off-board...please email me if you feel so inclined. Take care and I'll be sending you healing energies! Morgan

 Re: Hi all. — Poppet, Thu Jun 25 7:10am
FWIW, I always thought you were great just as you are. If you got prickly at times, well...I'm the last person on earth to criticize you for that. It never obscured the real person.

I hope whatever time you have left is filled with wonder. It's been a treat knowing you.

 No need.... — sprout, Thu Jun 25 7:05am
You have no need to apologize... We are who we are. We all have moments of gentility and compassion and we all have moments of some grouchiness... I think we care for our friends perhaps even more for their flaws than for their sterling qualities. If your friends were perfect, we would feel pretty lousy about ourselves wouldn't we :)

I can promise that there I personally harbor not a shred of ill will towards you, and I doubt that others here do either.

You will be in our thoughts. I can't really pray for you, as it is not my nature, but I will be wishing you the best.. I can offer only one piece of advice... Please do not give up.

 Re: No need.... — yome, Thu Jun 25 10:30am
awesome response sprout..

 Heya, lady...life is boring without the spices... — Glenn, Thu Jun 25 5:06am
...and the pot will be a bit blander without yours 8^( If the fight ends sooner than later, thank you for the flavors you've added to the conversations here 8^)
