Subject Should ... could ... would ... if ...

Hammer: "Until such time as discussed above, a developing fetus should be considered part of the mother - a potential, and not actual, person."

Why "should"? Must be your own personal criterion. You might feel differently if you could look back to the point you were a fetus and could see a coathanger coming thru the cervix aiming at your skull. Ouch!

If you cannot give us the exact moment at which sentience dawns, then perhaps your method of determining "humanness" is flawed ... I don't know what is based on anyway ... what king died after proclaiming that sentience is the sole determinant of personhood. It's just a convenient method to cop out on the real issue. It could just as easily be when the baby first says "Da-Da" or "Ma-Ma", and it would be OK to kill the li'l feller at any time prior to then, huh?

I don't get the same "should" vibes. I think, once conceived, baby killers "should" keep their hands off the li'l feller so he/she has the same chance to become President as an illegal like Obama. Think of all the good babies that have been killed over the past 30 or 40 years ... they could be paying taxes and helping feed Obama's spending habits.
