Subject OK ... you say these folks cannot afford medical insurance?

Then, what is the point in passing a law which forces them to buy insurance which they cannot afford or pay a penalty to the government for not so doing?

Obamacare does not make the insurance any more affordable ... it makes it mandatory that medical insurance be purchased by people who cannot afford the insurance in the first place.

Where is the wisdom in that, I submit?

Furthermore, I resent your attempt to place blame and guilt on me for the financial predicament of others. I can only say that I pursued the opportunities that were afforded me in life to get a good education and to prepare for a career that would support me and my family. I worked my way through college and graduate school. These same opportunities are available to virtually all Americans, especially these days when there are an abundance of universities, colleges, junior colleges and trade schools.

For those who cannot take advantage of those opportunities, such as those who are physically- and/or mentally-challenged, there are already programs in place to assist them physically and financially. For the elderly who can no longer support themselves, there are the Social Security and Medicare/medicaid programs.
