Have you been to Mackinac Island? It's about 100 miles from where you are. Absolutely beuatiful ... great food. The Grand Hotel is a bit pricey at >$600/night ... makes The Breakers seem like a stomp-down bargain at $270/night ... but, hey, it's only money, and Obama says it's good to spread the wealth around. ;)
