A good start would be to cut the federal government workforce in half over the next 12 months. Get rid of Department of Energy, Department of Education, and Department of HUD altogether. Cut postal service back to 3 days a week and consolidate post office buildings, reducing the number 50-70%. Cut out all government subsidies. Re-vamp the income tax system and collect as state sales tax ... ditch the IRS.
