Many Americans will be marking the day with moments of silence and special ceremonies remembering those who were lost. But students at the school where President Obama sends his daughters will be commemorating the day by eating Japanese food. A lunch that will live in infamy declared the Washington Post. Sidwell Friends School is a place where the one percent send their children to be educated. Tuition will set you back around $32,000 a year. The menu today includes teriaki chicken, fried rice, and fortune cookies. The school told the Washington Post that their Pearl Harbor Day menu was completely coincidental. Anyone else buying that? The President’s children may be feasting on Japanese food today but as for me — I’ll be eating an all American cheeseburger and maybe a slice of apple pie.
