Thanks for finding this. There's a causal link in all this. Journalism does not thrive on good news. Journalists don't make a lot of money ... average pay less than $40K/year. So, to peddle stories to the masses, who are basically mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed bullshit, a journalist has to paint a pessimistic view of any situation, the remedy for which is more taxation, more government spending, bigger debt for someone else to pay later, more entitlements, more dependency. Super judgmental while employing a double standard: A white Democrat who rapes and abuses women and has extramarital affairs and then lies to the public about it is praised ... while a black Republican who is accused of unsubstantiated "inappropriate advances" is hounded in the media by financially-deadbeat women of questionable veracity until his chances for a successful presidential bid are damaged beyond repair.
