BTW, Broadcom shows income before tax of $956 million and provision for income tax of $29 million in 2011. Granted, the tax is low, but it may be a result of foreign operations. Nobody gave them any specific dispensation that would not be available to other similar companies. If you want to complain about the taxes they pay, or don't pay, why don't you write your senators and congressperson instead of whining here where nobody really cares.

If you read the entire financial report published on their web site and on the SEC web site, you will learn why their taxes have been low. Then come back and tell us in an educated manner what's going on.
