... but this board has been crapped up with partisan politics for a long time.

Posters like sT, Gateway keep a constant volley of attacks on "CONS".

And, Merlin craps it up with cut'n'paste "People Magazine" mentality articles and cartoons that he finds in the NYT.

Oh, and then there's several folks (whom I cannot mention due to DNRs), some from the Blew Board, who hog the place with anti-American and leftwing partisan politics.

Most of the "on-topic" posts are regurgitations of stuff that has been recycled hundreds of times.

The few serious posts that seldom find their way here are quite often ridiculed and turned into foodfights.

It may be that chat boards have run their course, that everything that needs to be discussed has already been hashed out, people are bored, but they have nothing else to do with their empty lives of silent desperation, so their true nature manifests itself, fueled by the catalytic action of partisan politics. You see, religion and ethics on this board are indistinguishable from partisan politics. You mention Christianity, you get a liberal-type rebuttal. You mention atheism or some other religion, and you may get a right-wing retort. Religion and ethics are partisan politics here.

And, of course, I am the most hated person on this very small, inbred planet over here, which just breaks my heart and causes me loss of sleep and self-esteem ... dayum, it's hard to make it thru the day knowing that some of these peeps over here really don't like me ... some of them actually even slither on their bellies over to my board (where I am loved) to remind me that they really, really don't like me =P

Oh, well, that's my analysis of the situation. I'm gon'na pull my self-esteem up by the bootstraps and try to make something out of this beautiful Eve'o'Fall day.

BTW, Fall is the most beautiful time of the year in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Millions of trees on hundreds of rolling hills and in countless serpentine valleys; pastoral horse and cattle farms; endless white fences and nigh-foreboding stacked rock walls (if they have moss, it's "old money", if they have just been quarried, it's "new money"); ubiquitous fresh produce trucks on the side of rural roads; carefree cyclists on the Natchez Trace Parkway and at Puckett's in Leiper's Fork or at Loveless Cafe on Hwy 100; hundreds of beautiful, educated kids here from all over the US pursuing their musical dream; happy tourists on Lower Broadway hoping to see Willie Nelson or Taylor Swift, but not bothering them if they do; and smug uppity-mucks attending Classical and Jazz concerts at the Schermerhorn and Blair ... and so much more.
