Who's to say elected officials know how to use resources more efficiently?

The more you lump everyone into your "one size fits all" paradigm, the worse things get. It's far better to have 5% of the kids well-educated and 95% of the kids poorly educated than to have 100% of the kids poorly educated. After all, it takes only about 5% of the population to make this country tick, and the other 95% are pawns who do the dirty work. That's reality. You want to keep dumbing down America with your "one size fits all" mindset.

You are just steeped in tax'n'spend mentality, and look at your poor rustbelt state now. People there are so hard up and desperate that they actually did something intelligent ... they voted for Trump because they want jobs, not more empty promises from idiotic democrat politicians.
