Question 1: How does a person who has $100 million cash in the bank, and who owns a modest $500K house and a Buick, benefit more than his next door neighbor who has only $1 million cash in the bank, and who owns a modest $500K house and a Buick?

Question 2: We all understand that a person with higher taxable income will pay more tax than someone with lower taxable income, but why should the person with $100 million pay a higher income tax rate?
