We are seeing it happen right now, and there are idiots on both Ken's board and Mondo's who seem to think that this is all a big hoax by climate scientists.I want to be optimistic. I want to believe that we will panic, and go into overdrive, and we'll manage to pull ourselves back from the brink. But then I run into the deniers, who are still going strong, and I realize that we aren't just facing off against the climate. We're facing off against people who have invested their ego in winning a political argument and who refuse to admit that they were wrong.I don't even care about them being wrong. As far as I'm concerned, they're flat-earthers. I don't take particular pride or joy in besting a flat-earther in a debate. It's not even about that anymore. We have to dig in, right now, and do everything we can to mitigate climate change.
