Subject Not really.

Cars are no longer a passion.

The really interesting cars have mostly come and gone.

Everything nowadays is mundanely pedestrian.

Mostly look alike jellybeans.

A whole bunch of them now have the same cheap, crappy I-4 turbo that strains its pathetic guts to move a 2 ton jellybean.

Loaded with crap that nobody needs:

Lane departure warning
Blind sight warning
Automatic braking for idiots who tailgate, and there are lots of them
Park distance control
Ventilated seats
Navigation
Cooling compartment
Vacuum cleaner

All junk for people who shouldn't be driving at all.

You can tell a poor driver … you will see their brake lights come on about 20 times a minute as they tailgate less than 1 car length.

Cars eventually become worthless.

I like our new 2018 Cadillac XT5. It is really luxurious. It has a naturally-aspirated 3.6 liter V-6 with 310 HP … no dinky turbo crap. But, it's what they want me to have. I don't have much of a choice any more. There's not really much out there that I want to have.

A nice 18K gold watch will last a lifetime, and will always be worth something.
