Yawn!

BMW did fix my (out of warranty) 2012 X3 "Chassis Stabilization/ABS 4x4/Brake" problem that was locking up the rear brakes on initial start-up for free after I threatened to take the matter to the NHTSA.

It seems that a failing speed sensor on the right front wheel was thinking that the rear wheels were slipping, so the ASC (Automatic Stability Control) applied braking to the rear wheels to direct power to the front wheels to pull the vehicle out of an "imaginary" rear wheel spin.

My dealer went ahead and replaced all 4 speed sensors, which was a nice gesture. After all, I have bought 8 BMWs over the past 42 years. I deserve some respect.

$1,300 out-of-warranty job for free.

The art of the deal.
