On the security tab of your maintenance page, there's a new section that allows you to add accounts and specify unique permissions for each of them.

This means that you could set your DiscApp to "read-only" for visitors, but allow people you trust to post messages. Or you could allow anyone to post, but disallow certain accounts from posting anything. You can even give individuals "edit" privileges so they can help moderate your DiscApp.
