The reason for the large font is so that older people with failing vision can read it.

It appears obvious that web page developers are young males who do the band-eating development on wide screen monitors without caring that the growing older population cannot afford all the new bells and whistles. They make no effort to check their finished products on older systems with smaller screens.

The ONLY reason that I have stuck with your service is that I can increase the font size to make the words legible.

The reason for moving the messages toward the end is that most posters absolutely will not tolerate registered passwords and you have not come up with any other way to reduce the SPAM so that board administration is not a hassle.

In the meantime I have tried to offer visitors some other options to attract them to at least view the board and return. That effort has resulted in increased size of the prolog.

Other boards also have a large prolog, usually containing the board rules. The reason they don't have the same problem is that their boards are supported by advertising and not a lease.

So, I contend it is a flaw in the system!
