I contacted a friend who works there who said he came in as a stray. She saw him last week and said that he is sweet. They are overloaded with animals and she will check their rescue lists to see if the NJ and Mid-Atlantic ones are on their list. They cannot hold for a rescue if someone wants to adopt him so a rescue would need to move on him ASAP.
My offer stands to help w/transport. My friend could bring him to her house and I could pick up a night this week if he's still there and meet a rescue volunteer someplace in NJ, if that rescue.
FYI - IMO .....this is a fairly rural, hunting area and not that animals savvy (ie, forever homes & care of groomables like minis).
