Please have patience...

Maddy, please send me an e-mail at the above address so I can check on the status of your parents' application. As we explain in our paperwork, we are all extremely busy volunteers with work, family, and other responsibilities, in addition to the very time-consuming rescue work we do. Unfortunately the adoption process often takes longer than we would like. We take great care in making compatible matches, which takes time, plus many of the dogs we get into rescue have health or behavioral issues, and it may be months before they are ready for adoption. That is why we request patience. (We do not "refuse to respond," it is simply that the volunteers are often overwhelmed and just cannot reply to every one of the dozens of e-mails we receive daily.) Please have your parents also check with other rescue groups, local shelters, etc. if they are anxious to speed up their adoption process.

Actually, NJSRN is NOT a large group. When I adopted from them last year, they had less than a dozen members. In spite of that, they still cover the northeastern US! And you're right, save1mini, they ... more
