Ron Duckenfield RIP

Dear all,
I have just had a call from Ron's daughter and It is with the deepest regrets that I have to tell you that Byron Duckenfield died this morning after a short illness.

Byron flew with 74 & 32 squadrons pre-war and with 501 Sqn during the Battle of Britain and later flew in the far East where he was taken prisoner by the Japanese and spent 3 1/2 years as a POW.

I'm sure that our sincere condolenses go out to Ghee his lovely wife and the rest of his family, Janet his daughter asked me to pass on the News.
