Forum's future
Tue Feb 22, 2011 7:08am
188.64.201.2

I'm sorry to hear the forum may be closing down.

I would like to second Rob's proposal. If we cannot continue as part of the BOB Historical Society, I think continuing our forum on Facebook, or as an independent Yahoo or Google group is the way to go.

Regarding ads, in this age they are a necessary evil, and if that's the price to pay to continue, so be it.

I call on the Society to reconsider. Its prime mission is after all, to ensure "the many" remember their debt to "the few" for posterity. The more presence it has on the web, the better it can fulfill this task.

Perhaps the Society should have a Facebook page which could, if necessary replace the forum

Hope some solution is found, and thst the goodbyes prove premature.
