I trained in a small kenpo school in San-Bernardino California from 1975 to 1996.In 1979 my instructor had Ed Parker come down and do a seminar. My cousin and i were mezmerised watching Ed move.My instructor was impresive but Ed seemed inhuman. My cousin had just got his drivers license so we got directions to the Pasadena school and went out there atleast twice a month. At that time if you wanted to go work out at some one elses school without joining, they would charge a mat fee.Ed never charged us but spent just as much time with us as he did with his paying students.
It's been 16 years and i still think about him daily while teaching my own small group of students.
