John Johnson was my 5x great grandfather too. Dorothy's father was Francis Hoggarth, born about 1724 in Hackness, but that's as far as I've got. If you've found any further info - about her mother perhaps, I'd love to know.
I am descended from John and Dorothy's youngest son George Johnson.

        The church at Hackness has some plaques related to a family called JOHNSTONE. Are these connected to the JOHNSON who married Dorothy? Bryan
