I came across a Jon Hogarth on the 1871 census while trying to find my great grand father Thomas William Hoggarth born 1869 in Slaidburn Yorkshire now Lancashire since 1974.Jon was down as a 70 year old school master and the grand father, born Firhill Westmoreland. there was no head of the family listed but a Emma Bracewell wife 25 drapers wife and Arthur Bracewell son 10 months.
Opsss sorry just realised it wasn't Firhill it was Firbank Westmoreland I shouldn't rely on my memory its getting too old. any way just to complete the story I went to Firbank which is just a collection of one or two farms plus a Church and I found in the greaveyard a grave containing the remains of a Edward Hogarth, Wife Emma and Son Arthur. I havent found and conection to my family as yet.

Glad that you're recovering. As you've already got a copy and are planning to use it, I'll keep out of the way.
