Do you really want the MDDClone author to port his program to a device made in 1997, with a monochrome screen, a 68000-based processor and 512 KB of RAM? Maybe you just meant a Palm smartphone, but if the smartphone marketshare pie chart on Wikipedia (see http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b5/Smartphone_share_current.png ) is to be believed, the Palm smartphones form less than 1% of the market.
I'd suggest to develop for Symbian smartphones, because the same chart shows they are the most diffused.
