If you want to play with no glitches at all, then yes, OpenGL will be the best option. However, if you want to play in stereoscopic 3D, you'll have to use Direct3D since none of the current stereoscopic drivers support OpenGL. I had already noticed that the direction you face when you enter or leave vehicles is not consistent, but I could not find the cause (I admit I haven't searched for long, though...) so I left that on the backburner and decided to add things I had already decided to add. The problem with the excessive speed on leaving a planet might be a side effect of the timing routine that I used in all versions of TADPSID up to 8. For version 9 I had to change it in order to implement the clock, so we'll see if you still have the problem with v9.
Sounds good about the update. It looks like OpenGL is probably the best option then with the new version as you get no glitches in space at all at the moment using it. Will you be able to make it so... more
Ok well I look forward to v9. I'm sure as time goes on you will be able to build and add more and more to it so eventually everything will run as it should. I just like that fact you are working in... more
