Hi, Sorry for the late response. I have just got married and have just managed to read this. It has been a very hectic few weeks for me. I'm actually able to use my computer and relax and catch up with things online which Iíve not had time to LOL!
With the sound issue can you not have it just not stop at certain points as most sound cards if not all now support multiple sounds being played simultaneously regardless. If it were to not stop it shouldn't be an issue I would think as you'd hear ship sounds as well as Benson whilst altering ship speed. I'm sure you can have a specific routine written for windows sounds or SoundBlaster etc...or at least Irrlich should have such a routine available. Very frustrating they've not responded to you.
Sorry about my mistake on the altitude markers. I was going by memory rather than what they actually do. I couldn't remember how they worked exactly. The ones in Tadpsid don't quite work the same and I was wondering if you could alter them so they are more inline like they are in Damocles and Mercenary III?
What I meant with regards to the Mercenary IV imagined comment, I should have said how you imagine it and also how it will be in line with the rest of the games in comparison. I gather you are creating it as closely to the originals as you can? I'm just curious about the buses, interplanetary transport etc, and objects? Are they all going to be implemented in time as that will be one hell of a task putting all that in? The original games had so much stuff to find but not really much in many of the buildings which made the game huge but a bit boring at times wandering around with virtually every building looking the same. You could have 3D dimensional people wandering around and traffic on the roads etc. Obviously much more can be added. How far are you heading with the game? Do you have a time frame roughly on completion or are you just adding bits and pieces as you go along when youíve got time?
I'm just really looking forward to when everything starts becoming a proper game.
