Re: The One Power

Kamion jumped and nearly fell out of her chair as all the dust suddenly disappeared. For a moment, shock registered on her face. She immediately scolded herself, and thought You're in the White Tower...and with an Accepted no less...of course she can channel! Smoothing her face over, Kamion resettled herself on the chair and turned to face Merycla, who was in the front of the classroom. She was determined to learn how to do this for herself.

Merycla, face impassive, waited until she was ready until she began speaking. Her tone was that of a teacher to a student-which usually put Kamion to sleep. However, she was looking forward to this lesson, so she leaned forward and paid attention. When the Accepted asked for any knowledge she had of saidar, Kamion frowned. She knew so little, she didn't even know if it counted as knowledge. However, it was better than nothing. Hesitatingly, she began to speak and said " Accepted Merycla, I don't know much. I only know that there are 2 halves to the One Power, and that the female half is saidar. I...heard...that once you hold it, it is hard to let go of again, and you can even burn yourself out. I have heard my cousin speak of 5 threads-air, water, spirit, earth, and fire-but I don't know much beyond that."
