A girl, on the brink of being a woman, looked up at the morning sun through the fog. It looked like a bright, featureless moon as she gazed at it; the idea that two things could be so similar, but not, at the same time. She thought back over the years and she thought about the pain; the pain of rejection, the pain of being used, the pain of being someone she wasn't. She remembered this, but then a thought came to her. She recalled what had been permanent in those years. It was a place that she could channel her feelings into productively. It gave her something to hold on to.

But, just like everything in life, it changed. She became busy and was able to share her feelings with someone that supported her. Her work on this place dwindled, even though she tried to keep up. Now, the time has come where everyone felt this way, and it was time for the place to close. She accepted this with relief, some regret, and new friends. So, she sat down one last time, and wrote about her connection with this place. One last time, she told the stories of these characters that had always been undying friends throughout the years.

*****************

Teli Telverin, Aes Sedai of the Grey Ajah, Bondmate to Blaesius Sedai was looking up at the same sun, obscured by the fog, even though these two women were separated by Ages and circumstances of reality. It was as she looked up at this sight through a window in her brother's house, that she knew Blaesius would never come back. Her child, their child, would have no father. Although a deep sadness came to her, she began readying herself for this task. She penned a letter to her near-sister, telling her of what had happened. Later, she wrote a letter explaining that she would stay in Caemlyn, fulfilling her duty as the Andoran regional clerk there, rather than in the White Tower. She was a displaced Aes Sedai, but she couldn't bear the thought of living anywhere else.

****************

Hyldae of the Salt Flat sept of the Nakai Aiel, Sei'Tar read the letter, and at first she was angry, but she instead put that anger into a drive to become a Gaidar. When she finally gained the fancloth, she traveled to Caemlyn. After some time, Teli and her Bonded, like they had thought they would for many years. They both raised Aiko, Teli's beautiful little daughter.

***************

Accepted Tristen Calvert took the test of 99 Weaves, and joined the ranks of the Yellow Ajah. He worked in the Infirmary for many years. As he grew older, he left the White Tower to become a Healer in a small town. He met a shy young woman, and after a few awkward years, they married. Their first child, a little girl, was named Sarah, after the sister Tristen has lost so many years ago.

*****************

Soldier Kieran (Karen) Ohanzee went up into the rank of Dedicated, and then later, into Asha'man. He kept his alias as a Healer, but was always an Assassin at heart. The first thing he did after he became an Asha'man was go back to Arad Doman. He found "Master" Jack. The man was never able to hurt anyone ever again. Later, he got in contact with his twin brother. He went to Whitebridge. He walked into a tavern, and was soon greeted by people who seemed to recognize him. A young woman hugged him unexpectedly, and he backed away. After a moment of confusion, the young woman exclaimed that he wasn't who she thought he was. When this happened, Kieran realized who these people must be; they were his family, the one that had thought he had died in the fire. He was not able to tell them the darkness of his past, but he heard about theirs. After this, he returned to the Black Tower with a peace of mind that he had never had before.

****************

After training as an Aethan'Tar, Kael Zesiro returned to Whitebridge. He learned about the arrival of Kieran at the tavern a year before. He was disappointed that he did not get to see his twin one last time, but other things soon took his attention. He married Lynne, and they lived a long and happy life.

****************

Leila Calliope, the gleewoman in training, traveled for many years, eventually leaving her teacher, Aurora. During this time, she met a handsome young man with an even more attractive purse that persuaded her to settle down. After she had performed to her heart's content, she settled with the young man, but could never help loving the sound of her own voice.

****************

With a sad heart, the young woman leaves these friends. She knew that she would write about some of them, knowing their stories still needed to be told, but perhaps no one would ever see them but her. To all the friends she's met at this place, new and old, real and created, she wishes the best.
