Khaji ran a hand over her forehead, eating what was given to her. The Aes SEdai had look none to pleased with her. She sighed. I am never going to make it in this world. She took a deep breath and sighed.

“What’s your name?” Khaji looked, shock in her eyes as she stared at the girl in front of her. She can’t be much older than nine. Khaji looked around her, noticing the man watching her with a small smirk on his face.

“I’m Khaji.” She said hesitantly, not sure how to take the child in white in front of her.

“I’m a Novice too. I saw you fall down. That was pretty bad.” Khaji nodded, the energy off this one was incredible. Isn’t she a little young? Shouldn’t she have someone watching after her? she looked around, but saw no one. She sighed. Guess I should look after you.

“Yeah it was pretty bad. The Aes Sedai said it had to do with fatigue and drinking spiked punch.”

“You mean the Aes SEdai healed you?” Her eyes lit up.

“Yes, in fact, that same one has healed me twice tonight. I seem to be doing a fabulous job of messing things up. Here I was afraid to go through a Gateway. . .”

“Wasn’t that the greatest experience ever?” The girl continued to ramble on about gateways, like she was the expert. What did I do to deserve this?

She noticed out of the corner of her eye, the man stepping closer. Before she could say anything, the girl was off to great him. Khaji shrugged at him.

“What’s your name? Are you an Asha’man?” He laughed, shaking his head. “I’m Novice Ryell.”

“Well Novice Ryell, I am Darius al’Ceer. I am a Soldier of the Black Tower.”

“Oh wow! I just met another Soldier but she was a girl. She was in black just like you” She bubbled with excitement. Darius looked over at her.

“I’m Khaji, a Novice as well, but I think I’m on the upper end of the age limit.” She looked at the child and shrugged. “Apparently, I’ve been nominated to find whoever was watching this one. I wouldn’t think it a good idea to leave one this young running around free.”

“Mind if I join you?” She shook her head. I am here to party, I might as well talk to people.

“Ryell, did you come with someone?”

“Oh yeah. That was Sonja, she’s an Accepted, and she’s gonna be Aes Sedai any day now!”

“Is that so?” Khaji looked around. She had no idea what Sonja looked like. “Where is Sonja? I have never met her before. Perhaps we could find her.” Ryell liked the sound of that and buzzed off into the crowd. Khaji just stood there, not sure to follow or wait.

“So what do we do?”

“I don’t know. That child had a burst of energy from who knows where.” Khaji paused. “I have no idea what to do. This is my first festival.” She paused, remembering the book Madeline gave her. “I just barely finished reading the guidelines yesterday. I only got to the Tower two days ago. Accepted Pierah only just started to teach me yesterday to no avail. Thank goodness for a day off, I was positive she’d continue through the night. I can’t take that much meditation in one day.

Before Darius could respond, the young girl came back with three people in tow. Oh light! One was in Asha’man blacks, but Khaji assumed it was the other Soldier Ryell had spoke of. The other two Khaji had no idea who they were. One was wearing a beautiful green gown and the other was wearing a rusty read. Both of them Accepteds? She wasn’t sure, and she sure as the light had not had enough training to sense spark in either of them. Even if she could, she was positive that she couldn’t tell from wence it came. She curtsied, to be polite and formal.

“This is Khaji, she’s a novice just like me.” Ryell introduced them. “The man, Darius al’Ceer, is a Soldier, just like you Afailla.” Khaji smiled weakly, not sure what to do. She had been literally thrown into society.

“I was made Novice a couple days ago when I reach the Tower.” She paused, still not use to the idea that she was in the Tower. “So, I am not quite use to the channeling and coming through the gateway was enough to make me ill.”

OOC: How about in a direction you would have never thought. Yay..more people. This should be fun. I hope you don't mind. Khaji could use the time to get to know people..
