Darius glanced up at her, his ears ringing and his face muddy. With irritation, he realized that he had lost Saidin, and seized again. He forced the raging torrents of fire and ice into predictable patterns, and wove Air and Water in a complicated weave.

The mud disappeared from his face, vacuumed up, and the rain around him suddenly hit a visible dome. He then wove Fire, of which he was not very good at, to dry his clothes. The inexpert weaving made his clothes steam, and the edges of his black pants singed. He sighed, then faced her squarely.

“I could ask you the same question, but I won’t. I just needed some privacy - so many things happening all at once, one after the other.” He paused for a second, then continued. “Also, I have always felt an affinity with the storms. Whenever one hit our town I always loved to stand out in the rain, and my mother would always call me in afterwards.”

She would do that no more. His mother was dead, buried in a shallow grave or not buried at all, and he was doubtless the only one who remembered her excepting his far-off sister and his anonymous father. His face clouded slightly, and he was tempted to whip the storm again. However, he sensed something - it was the faintest of sensations, like oil on water.

“Do you feel that?” he asked, puzzled. It felt like it was far off, but he didn’t know how he knew that or even what he knew.

OOC: Have you seen “Sweet Home Alabama” ? Lightning struck her quite frequently. :P
But anyways, I don’t want to have to leave the BT without having a battle.
