Delving Into The Unknown

Kieran looked upon the so called “killing weave” with interest, and stored its making in his memory. His two strongest Elements just happened to be the two used in the said weave. That weave may just be useful to him in the near future. Of course, it was a bit complex, as the Aes Sedai said, so it was a bit impractical for a quick killing. However…the person he had in mind didn’t deserve a quick death….

Bringing his attention back to the Aes Sedai’s words, and the Asha’man’s demonstrations, he watched as the weave was changed into the Healing weave. Following that, they were led into the Infirmary, where there were numerous injured people, which was to be expected in the not-so-safe haven of the Black Tower.

He listened intently as the uses of the Delving weave were explained to him, and his fellow peers with mild interest. These instructions could aid him later, but at the moment, he was just trying to get through this part, and get onto Healing. It took all of his willpower to not let his mind wander. He watched as the Delving weave was demonstrated, and then waited amongst the class while everyone tried their hand at Delving the Soldier that lay on the cot. Of all his time here, Kieran had yet to go to the Infirmary, even though it probably was in his best interest, seeing as the cut that had yet to heal was still, sometimes, giving him hell. Even Zander had mentioned that he should get it looked at. Kieran wasn’t really known for listening to advice to help his own person, so he discarded the recommendation.

It became his time to try his hand at the Delving weave after what seemed all of the class had gone. He began making the weave as demonstrated, with Spirit, Water and Air intertwined, making the complex weave that was used to Delve. Water and Air weren’t part of his strongest Elements, but he was proficient in them at least.

He finished the weave, and slowly placed it into the Soldier, Delhurst, whom lay on the cot. It was somewhat obvious what was wrong with the young man, he could see the burn, but he worked with the weave none-the-less. Surprisingly, Kieran noticed through the weave that there were some other things entirely different from the burn that was wrong with the young man. He had a blister on his left heel, not to mention that he was exhausted. Kieran let the weave fall, and he smiled slightly to himself, because of the fact he had been able to perform the weave, and it had worked correctly for him.
