Hello Ian,
Thank you for that. I will do what I can to piece it together. Whichever route he took it was no holiday was it. I have read a couple of books about the marches and it was something I knew very little of. After all my dad endured being in Stallag V111B for five years then being force marched through a freezing cold winter - astonishing resilience.
