How Quaint

A lesson on knives? How quaint... Kieran thought as a smile lit upon his face. This definitely sounded like a lesson he had to make a point to attend. Of late, it seemed as if his lessons were not ones of his choosing, but instead, ones that were required of all Soldiers. This would be a nice release from all of those. It was not like he truly needed a lesson on the handling of a knife, which had been the tool of his trade before he was brought to the Black Tower, but that didn't mean that he couldn't act like he was new to such things. Not many people knew of his assassin background, since most of them were dead. Only really one person Kieran could think of even knew that his true track at the Black Tower was that of an assassin, and not a Healer. Even in the battle they had seen, Kieran had went amongst the Healers, not wanting to expose his true intentions yet. There was a time, and a place for such things.

Amongst others from the Black Tower, including an acquaintance of his, which by the look of his collar, was recently raised to Dedicated, he went to the Traveling Yard, since the lesson was to be held in the Training Grounds at the White Tower. If Kieran remembered correctly, he had never been to the White Tower. He grinned somewhat at that thought. Almost all the lessons he had gone to had both initiates from the Black and White Towers, but this was the first time he had had to go through a Gateway to get to one of those lessons. He did not know what that was a sign of, but he knew it had to mean something. Maybe the propaganda that the Black Tower was better than the White was true after all.

Upon reaching the East Field with the rest of the Black Tower bunch, Kieran saw some of the Trainees that had come to the lesson as well. When it was time for introductions, the Domani bowed, studying their teacher for this lesson with his deep blue eyes.

"My name is Soldier Karen," that was an alias he had made for himself. "My preferred weapon is the knife." He looked down sheepishly, to try an make it seem like he wasn't all the experienced with it. "I have a little experience with using them in close combat, but never have I used them as projectile weapons." Kieran did not mention that those he had had his experience on were dead, but that would have revealed him, and this was not the time.
