Well, I can find no losses for Do 17s on that date. I checked the Ju-88 losses and have 5 for the Eastern Front, and one is a recon unit, 4.(F)122. However, none are listed as MIA. Do you know if he was a pilot or a crewman? Most Do 17s and Ju-88s had four crewmen, not just two as you indicate. I do not have his name in the records I have. Could you scan the photo of the plane? That would helps as my records are by a/c type. I am at
Did you post a query on the Twelve O'Clock High Board? There are a lot more people there with perhaps more loss data than I have.
